SLOW THINKING, APRIL 1-30, 2026
"Even if you or something in you is broken, the better thing to do is still to choose to build others up, not tear them down. That's basic, that's humane, that's intrinsically and eternally good."
"The Lord seeks for and saves the lost; but only those
who know they are lost in the first place. For there may be no chance for those
who believe they know everything and are secure, and not willing to learn more,
or to change and improve."
Words of wisdom from 'Holy Wisdom' page...
(And why home is the best place that develops our character.)
"Home is where God forms what the world cannot
see."
"Everyday, we 'fish' for people, not through fear or
intimidation, trickery or malice; but in truth, justice, freedom and
love."
(And thank you to my old friend, Kat
Cinco , for the Holy Land stone)
"A good Christian is a good neighbor, a responsible
citizen, and a peace-bringer."
And on a more sober note...
To emphasize: "Freedom of Speech ends where Slander and
Libel begins, even (and increasingly) in digital spaces."
"Grace, something profound and holy, that has to
permeate our daily realities... (Such as being willing to share, or to have a
little less than what we feel entitled to because others might need more, or to
downplay ourselves and sometimes let other people underestimate us just so they
can build self-confidence, or letting people proclaim how self-made they are
without acknowledging our help and support. Which is essentially what our
Heavenly Father does to all of us every day, pouring out blessings and provisions
to both the thankful and ungrateful alike, giving favors to those who pray and
those who do not acknowledge Him either way. Because grace should actually
produce gratefulness, and that is our welcome responsibility and happy duty.
While given much grace but remaining unthankful and ungrateful will surely lead
to unwelcome consequences which we will have no choice but to bear, with no
right to blame others nor pass on to them when it becomes difficult and
inconvenient)."
"Many are anxious now, of what will happen to us in the
future. But thankfully, our merciful God assures us with His words, not only
meant for physical Israel, but the "spiritual" one (that is,
'Israel', which means 'striving with God'), who calls on His Name, and puts
their hope and trust in Him."
It's past the Holy Week, and time to get down to the facts,
to bio-history and forensics, and to see a more likely truer depiction of how
our Lord suffered, was crucified and died, so as not to forget our eternal debt
and allegiance to Him who saved our souls from the second death...
"Amidst all our hardships, when we call upon Him, He
makes a way."
"We are each responsible for our choices."
This is why we serve a living God, in the Name of our
everlasting Savior and Deliverer, and comforted by His ever-present Holy
Spirit...
And it's the Feast of Unleavened Bread...
"Hope we have 'burned' the Chametz of our lives, and
live pure, free, honest, humble, unburdened, unadulterated."
"Life doesn't need ideal conditions; it adapts, it
endures."
- Bright Side Global
Thank you, Lord, for answered prayers, particularly where I
asked only for burdens I can carry, for wisdom to do what is required of me,
for patience to deal with the difficult, the inconvenient, and the challenging,
and for peace towards a good night's sleep...
Imagining myself in King David's Waterfall at Ein Gedi, but
living real each day by tapping into the true source of living water, our God
and Eternal King...
"If we had communion with God, then it follows we will
have communion with people, even those who don't live and think and look like
us. For when our Savior said not to love the world, He meant its material
offerings--status and position, privilege and prestige--and not its
inhabitants. And the sooner we live our faith and convictions when no one is
looking, or when we are around people who don't go to the same church
congregation as us, the closer we are to the ministry of our Maker and Savior,
who preferred strangers willing to don party clothes to His banquet, than
family and friends who may be in their Sunday best but are soiled with pride
and hypocrisy, and a misguided sense of their own so-called knowledge and
self-importance."
