SLOW THINKING, JULY 1-31, 2026

May we be friends and companions of the wise, the moral and decent, the humble and generous, the circumspect and diligent. And as always, may we be champions of truth, of good sense and proper behavior, of justice, freedom, peace and love."

And eternity hinges on that, as well as legacy. People and the heavens would remember the generous one forever fondly, and resent and scorn the greedy and selfish till kingdom come."

And we have our very own King David as one of our earliest examples. And I guess that should be the source of our everlasting humility, not to let our talents get into our heads, not to be so overcome with passion that we forget wisdom and self-control. For indeed, the Psalms and the Proverbs were written by a Father and Son who lived with life's greatest lessons, and the consequences of losing one's moral balance, as manifested in their own family. So that if from one book we learn to give our all to worship our God, the other book tells us to give everything we have for wisdom and understanding, and self-control."
